Eine kurze Woche, aber mit meinen beiden längsten Fahrten. Bin von meinem Plan abgewichen, nach Köln zu radeln, und fand mich mit Hilfe eines Zuges in meinem Heimatdorf wieder. Diese Woche gab es viel Regen, und ich sah keinen Sinn darin zu campen, wenn ich so nah an einem warmen Bett bin. Werde aber von Fulda nach Köln fahren, wenn das Wetter es zulässt.
Ein bisschen suboptimale Planung. Aber manchmal sind die Tage kurz, manchmal länger, immer abhängig davon, wo ich einen Schlafplatz finde. Aber dieser war definitiv lang. Der längste bisher. Wieder kaum Bilder, das horizontale ist sogar von zwei Wochen später, als ich denselben Ort wieder passierte. Ich hätte ein Bild von dem Roche-Gebäude machen sollen, das plötzlich auftauchte, als ich mich Basel näherte, es war wirklich wie eine Fata Morgana. Aber ich war zu sehr darauf konzentriert, es zu schaffen. Besonders zu wissen, dass ich am Ende einen ziemlich steilen Abschnitt hatte. Und Mann, war das steil. Aber ich wurde mit viel Gastfreundschaft begrüßt, danke dafür!
Radeln nach Deutschland. Tatsächlich das erste Mal, dass ich ein bepackte Fahrradtour in Deutschland mache. Die Sonne scheint, aber es ist Sonntag, was ich vergessen habe. Geschäfte sind an diesem Tag hier weitgehend geschlossen. Aber Restaurants nicht, also ist es ein bisschen einfacher als in Frankreich. Und etwas Neues ist aufgetaucht. Verkaufsautomaten. Der erste war für Fleisch und Eier, habe ein paar Würstchen bekommen. Dann dieser hier, für Himbeeren. Fast so gut wie die für Austern! Die Wegweiser sind eigentlich sehr gut, das ist mir vorher nie aufgefallen. Nun ja, weil ich sie nicht benutzt habe. Und es gibt noch etwas, worauf ich mich hier sehr gefreut habe: Biergärten! Mit Erdinger alkoholfrei, meinem bevorzugten Sportgetränk! Und diese Deutschen, eigentlich sehr freundlich!
Was für ein Tag! Alles begann nett, mit Kuchen und Brezel! Ich entschied mich, an den Rand des Schwarzwaldes zu fahren, anstatt dem Rhein zu folgen. Sehr schöne Gegend. Viele kleine Schrebergärten, Weinberge und tolle Aussichten auf das Rheintal. Ich hatte einen ziemlich kurzen Tag geplant. Bei einer Pause schaute ich auf einer Nachrichtenseite vorbei, und das änderte meine Pläne. Es wurde super starker Regen auf meinem Weg nach Köln angekündigt. Also überlegte ich, was am besten zu tun sei. Wenn ich in Richtung Köln fahren würde, wäre es sinnlos, dort einen Zug zu nehmen, da mein Bruder noch im Urlaub war. Also suchte ich nach Zügen in meine Heimatstadt. Alles war für Fahrräder ausgebucht, nur einer sehr früh am nächsten Tag war verfügbar. Ich entschied mich, nach Karlsruhe zu radeln und diesen frühen Zug zu nehmen. Ich hatte Käsespätzle und Maultaschen gegessen und dann die Nacht am Bahnhof verbracht. Ziemlich unangenehm, aber es lohnte sich überhaupt nicht, Geld für ein Hotel für eine so kurze Nacht auszugeben. Als ich in Fulda ankam, radelte ich bei starkem Regen in mein Heimatdorf und nahm eine warme Dusche.
