Trevescan, Penzance TR19 7AQ, United Kingdom
My first campsite in England, and the start of LEJOG. I was very excited to arrive in Penzance (by train) and the short bike ride to Land's End was already so beautiful that I could not wait to starting cycling in the UK.
And wow, was this campsite different from the ones I stayed at in France!

To have a little bit of a framework to evaluate campsites for bike travelers, I wrote my criteria down in another post. The review is based on these criteria.
I had booked before on their website and was sent a mail with all the information I needed beforehand. When I arrived I called the number provided and the owner showed up soon after. Super nice guy, very friendly and he gave me a little tour and showed me where I could set up my tent. Throughout the campsite, there were very funny signs and the site looked very well looked after!
Yes, there's a tent area. It's "fenced" off with stones, so no vehicles can enter.
There are quite some picnic benches in the tent area. They do have as well sort of bike racks where you can lock your bike. Very nice!
Yes! There's a little kitchen space with a USB charging hub. In the kitchen is as well a waterboiler and a fridge, always appreciated.
Beside the kitchen there was no common room.
There is a coffee shop on site, but it was not open when I was there. Just a short walk from the campsite is a pub, the The First and Last Inn where you can get a good meal and pint. Just a little further, in Sennen, you can find a Spar, which has everything you'll need.
Yes, Land's End, the start of the famous Land's End to John o'Groats cycle route is just a short ride away.
Land's End is absolutely stunning! And the campsite is very nicely situated.
I would absolutely go there again! It is very likely one of my top ten campsites during my trip!
