I started my day on Land's End and after a beautiful day of cycling through Cornwall I reached the campsite. I was pretty hungry, so I decided to go to the local pub to have some food, before setting up tent. It was still early in the day and I was glad to get a meal at Fox and Hounds.

To have a little bit of a framework to evaluate campsites for bike travelers, I wrote my criteria down in another post. The review is based on these criteria.
Very warm welcome by the owner! He showed me around the place and gave me quite a bit of background of the place. The campsite is pretty small, and he decided that a good part of it would be unused to give nature some space. Supposedly there's even a nest of a white owl and he told me the story that one night a girl was really scared as she thought that she had seen a ghost. But it was the owl. Helas, I did not see it, but I love the initiative!
There's an area for tents, separate from the space for RVs. Vehicles are still allowed, but there was a lot of space.
I did not ask, as I had a fence where I could lock my bike to.
Closeby the very well kept facilities there was a space with a fridge and freezer where devices could be charged.
There was a little room, where the fridge was. Nothing big, but good enough! There was as well a common area for a fire.
There was a little honesty shop in the common room. Not extensive though. The before mentioned pub is pretty closeby and there's a Spar at the gas station in Lennar. Not fully recommended, but it's there.
It's just some kilometers away from the National Cycle Network Route 3. The deviation was beautiful though, leading through the Gwennap mining district.
Absolutely! The campsite is very much embedded in nature and the area around it is beautiful!
I would definitely come again! Friendly host, great facilities and a beautiful location. I even got a little "starter kit" with more information and some garbage bags.
