EuroVelo 1 - getting some extra cables for bike repair

I made it to Inverness! Getting my brakes fixed, finding a new tent and finally some proper washing. Will stay there until Fiona arrives to do the North Coast 500. Oh, I stayed in a hostel. I was absolutely shocked when I saw what the other guests threw in the bin. New clothes and food. I will never get that.

EuroVelo 1 - slow sign along the road in the Scottish Highlands

Back on the mainland! And I got trees, plenty of them. I saw the royal Scotsmen train, biked on beautiful paths and the rain was not too bad. Only in the morning, something mysterious happened. The clothes in one bag were soaking wet. I have no clue what happened, need to keep an eye on that. Glad that I decided to bike from Inverness south, I would have definitely missed some beautiful landscapes! On the way up north, I took a route through Fife and the east coast.

Katharina Birkenbach in Inverness

Lazy day. Waiting for @fromthefold to arrive in Inverness. And then a short ride to Contin. Great to have company! We arrived pretty late on the campsite and I was very slow to set up my new tent… it’s super light, but very small. Means quite a shift in my routine. Excited for the next few days!
